Hey, I am no Saint to give a lecture on selflessness, cause am selfish too, but every time you sacrifice something, small or big, for the sake of others happiness, you are left with a good feeling, some satisfaction and contentment!
Not many people think of others when it comes to decision on their own comforts. If just a small sacrifice from your side is making someone happy - be it family, friends or anyone, then don't hesitate, just do it to see them happy in the end!!
I am not talking philosophy here, but people live, people die, generations come, generations go, new weird diseases strike, natural disasters, accidents, what not!! there is everything out there that makes our future unpredictable. So, living in this world just for the sake of surviving is not a big deal, anyone can do that - but how you live is what that counts!!
Someday when you turn old, sit there on that chair in the lawn watching the sunset with your grandchild on your lap, don't you think you should be proud to take him on a walk through the lanes of your memories, explain him how you sacrificed for others happiness, how you derived satisfaction out of helping others!

@Ramesh: Yeah! I like a girl, but may be that can't be termed as love cause shes just an online friend, never seen or met her, but yes, I wish to be in love, hope I find my girl soon!! ;)
@Sandhya: Well yes, even while I was writing this post, felt a bit like its a heavy topic to talk about! its Philosophy indeed!! :)
And yeah, for everyone who likes to know if I am in love, I'd say yes, I like someone, but not sure if shes the right one or if our paths will cross and if I can ever get to meet her, but its fun to have a girlfriend, to show all the care and love and get loved back the same!! :)
