Job Search, a Challenge...

How long will your CV stay on the recruiter's desk before it is either piled up or goes into the bin?

An employer or recruiting agency receives too many applications for a certain role that is advertised. So, how good should your CV be to get noticed, all those key words which help you gain attention.

Your resume is the only tool or instrument you have, cause you can never personally project your knowledge, experience and personality and your CV has to do it for you. There are lots of ways you can present your CV, but what matters at the end of the day is whether it sufficiently conveys all you like to say about your skills and experience.

Since I graduated in July this year, I've been working on making my CV better, been applying for jobs and getting to know how difficult it is for that first step - your CV getting shortlisted. Then comes the question of whether your CV is competetive enough with the other shortlisted ones, then you'll be called for an interview.

I have worked with two different companies for nearly 3 years before opting for masters in automotive engineering. Since I graduated, I noticed that its hard to get shortlisted for experienced roles, its difficult to convince the recruiter with an experience from India cause they prefer people with experience from the UK.

I'll keep trying and will update my progress and will defo share any tips and suggestions on ways that work for me.

Do share any of your interview experiences with me in the comments column and you can always suggest me I welcome and value your opinions.

Hope you are having a nice day, take care :)
