Warmth in a Welcome...

How often do you get a truly warm welcome? And how often do you give the same?

We are all welcomed to every place we visit, be it a friends house, a cousins or relatives place. People have different ways of giving a welcome, some are more expressive, some are very polite, some a bit quiet, but in the end what touches our heart is how affectionate the welcome was.

Visits priorly planned are well received but surprise visits are open to a variety of reactions. Sometimes you knock the door of a friend/family whom you last met a decade ago, there will be lots of excitement in the air, hugs and laughs, shouts and cries. Sometimes you give a surprise visit on someones birthday, they are rejoiced and run out of words to say how happy they are.

Majority of our experiences are happy ones, but there is that odd visit when you knock the door and there stands a person with an expression, "Oh! noo, not you!". He got no choice but to call you in with a frowny face and you'll feel so uncomfortable with the cold welcome that you wish to say bye and leave soon. Some people are so busy, you often get greeted by their servants and you get to see the actual person after a good long wait.

I always believe that there is more joy in drinking a glass of water served by a warm welcoming heart than drinking a glass of world's finest nectar served by a cold, rejecting heart.

So when was the last time you received a very warm welcome and you had any bad experiences anytime? please share them in the comments column!

Have a nice day, take care :)
