Great Example!

“What is Love?” Its hard to define in words but can be expressed in actions, feelings and emotions. I understood more about love after hearing the story of an elderly couple.

An Australian man, Bill Forward, devotes his life caring for his cherished, infirm wife after 50 years of marriage. Bill and Glad Forward live on the Sunshine Coast of Australia. Because of advanced Alzheimer's, Mrs.Forward is now largely unable to do anything for herself, meaning her husband has to attend to her constantly.

Director Fiona Cameron was deeply touched by the story of this couple, who she has known for 15 years.

"It has been breaking my heart to watch Glad wither away over the last few years but it has also astounded me how Bill has gently cared for her," says Fiona. "It wouldn't cross his mind to do anything but cherish, protect and care for her. Their love is just so profound and I felt that others need to see that this kind of love still exists."

Their love is strong, Bill wouldn't mind serving for another 50 years, the way he recollects how they met and cherishes their memories together, speaks for itself!

And watch him respond to how popular their love story became as it went across the globe. Such a humble man, he is a role model to every man!

I believe that, true love exists in every heart, it just needs to be awakened! :)

Have a wonderful day, take care :)

Song of True Love...

Someday, I wanna sing this song to my future girlfriend/wife, playing the guitar and looking straight into her eyes... (don't miss my interpretation of the song's lyrics below, you might like it!)

Every time I listen to this song, I admire the lyrics, so magical and true every line is. Three people wrote this song, more details here - Have you ever really loved a woman

The song was no.1 on Bill Board Hot 100 for 5 weeks and was nominated for Oscar, Grammy, etc more details here - Awards. I feel this song is lyrically perfect!! Just amazing way of expressing the true way of loving a woman.

Lyrics:
To really love a woman
To understand her - you gotta know her deep inside
Hear every thought - see every dream
N' give her wings - when she wants to fly
Then when you find yourself lyin' helpless in her arms
You know ya really love a woman

When you love a woman you tell her
that she's really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she's the one
Cuz she needs somebody to tell her
that it's gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
- really really ever loved a woman?

To really love a woman
Let her hold you -
til you know how she needs to be touched
You've gotta breathe her - really taste her
Til you can feel her in your blood
N' when you can see your unborn children in her eyes
You know ya really love a woman

When you love a woman...(Repeat)

You got to give her some faith - hold her tight
A little tenderness - gotta treat her right
She will be there for you, takin' good care of you
You really gotta love your woman...

Just tell me have you ever really,
really, really, ever loved a woman? (Repeat)

I sang this song, 'have you ever.....' twice when I met friends - at a birthday party and at a get together. But I could never get enough out of the lyrics even till today. In my opinion - Every man should listen to this song and love the woman in his life the way described and even more!!

The title itself is a question, "Have you ever really loved a woman?". Answer yes or no!! And if yes, then how did you love her? did you love her sufficiently enough? did you love her with all your heart, with all your soul, breathe, blood and bones? I wish I could write a poem with such true feelings.

My interpretation/review of the lyrics:

The song starts telling us that to actually love and understand a woman, you need to know her deep inside, to hear every thought she has hidden safely at the bottom of her heart since her childhood, see every dream of hers by looking into her inner soul and then give her wings when she wants to fly - provide her everything that she wants, fulfil all her wishes, take her to wherever she wishes to go, treat her with everything she wishes to have and after doing all of that if you find yourself lying helpless in her arms, that is like a total self surrender, like at her mercy - then you know that you really love your woman.

When you love a woman, then tell her that she is really wanted, be bold, just open up your feelings with her, don't be shy, cause shes anyway gonna be shy, so you should take the lead, just let her know how important she is to you, how much she means to you, that she is your whole world. And tell her the truth that she is the one for you, that she is special and unique - that only she can make you complete and there is no other soul in the world who can make you feel not even one percent of how happy she makes you feel. Because she needs somebody to tell her that your bond or relationship will last forever and nothing or nobody can ever take you apart. Then comes the question again - tell me have you ever really really ever loved a woman?

Now in the next stanza, you are told the answer on how to really love a woman. Let her hold you and try to understand how she needs to be touched, that means you gotta handle her with a lot of care, like how you handle a new born(just bloomed) flower, so gently, so carefully, not to bruise her cheeks, deal tenderly with her. You gotta breathe her, yes breathe the air from her lungs to know the scent of her breathe, feel the warmth in the air she breathes out and really taste her kiss, to know the taste of her saliva till you can actually feel her in your blood, feel her flowing in your veins, feel her presence in every cell of your blood, flesh and being.

And now comes my most favourite line of the whole song, "And when you can see your unborn children in her eyes" - that's exactly when you know that you really love a woman. I can't comment much on this line yet cause I am still waiting for the day when I can fall in love with the girl of my dreams and I am sure it'd be a wonderful feeling to be able to see my unborn children in her eyes, it'd be so magical. It only shows the depth of love - that love is deeper than an ocean and higher than the sky - the intensity with which you love can make you feel such deep feelings.

Then the next stanza says that you gotta give her some faith, you need to assure her, promise her that you would do anything and everything for her - she will then have confidence in you, will believe in you, will trust you - so never let her down - not even once in life no matter what happens. And then hold her tight - show her that you protect her and your arms keep her safe - immediately the next line says, 'a little tenderness' - so understand that you need to hold her tight but at the same time don't suffocate her with too much possessiveness or a kinda obsession - give her freedom, let her fly like a free bird and not a caged one - let her have the space she needs - be considerate towards her - that's how you give her little tenderness - allowing her to be her own natural self with you.

And when you do all that for her - don't you think she'll respond back? Of course she does, that's what the next line says - she will be there for you too just like you are for her and she will take good care of you too!!

The song ends with repeated questioning - have you ever really really loved a woman? If you did then continue loving her the same, but if you didn't then learn now and start really loving her cause every woman deserves to be loved truly by her man.

Treasure her trust, genuinely care for her, be dedicated, devoted and worship her - but then again be her best friend who gives her freedom to be just her own self. Now there is a big difference between being devoted/dedicated to being possessive/obsessed - allowing her to do what she wishes to do, letting her be what she wanna be and never insisting on anything, never complaining on anything - that is what is required and when you do that she'd give you the same freedom too, she would not insist or complain on what you wish to do.

I do have a certain level of understanding about love because I've been writing a book on love - its more than 2 years since I started writing it, already half way through it I think, wrote lotsa pages but it reduces when edited - the book is on how it is like to truly love a girl. Even if no publisher comes forward, someday when I am financially capable, I will publish the book myself and will gift free copies to all my dear friends and family - you will then see, feel and understand love through the eyes of my heart.

Well, coming back to the song, it makes you understand that love is something more than just living together and sharing physical and emotional self with one another - but love is more than that, its divine, its spiritual and it liberates you from your self when wishes, dreams and needs of another person become more important to you than your own.

Someday am gonna sing this song for the woman of my life with the guitar, may be on our wedding day, but I wish I can write an even better song of my own for her and sing that too!! :)

Hope you liked my interpretation of the song lyrics, have a lovely day, Cheers!! :)

3 songs made my day :)

Today I was on a vacation mood since morning, just felt like going on a long drive through the countryside enjoying lots of sunshine, cruising through the wind. How great that'd be? I miss those long rides on my bike, been years since I last went on one.

Well I couldn't actually go on a drive today but repeatedly watched 3 video songs(shared them below) this evening and thoroughly enjoyed them - got lost in my own world of imagination, felt wind hitting my face and hair getting blown away!!! :)

These songs are wonderful, with soothing music and great visuals, so thought of sharing them with you. First two are Hrithik Roshan's songs, he is one of my favourite heroes.

When you watch them, don't forget to change the video quality to "HD" - which brings out the beauty of nature's colours and charm alive!! :)

Hope you enjoyed them too, have a great evening, take care :)

Rocky Inspires you...Part 2

Continued from Rocky Inspires you...

Some movie characters teach you the purpose of life, Rocky Balboa is definitely one of them, his dream takes him from rags to riches:

Part of another speech, video follows the text:
Cause if you’re willing to go through all the battle you got to go through to get where you want to get, who’s got the right to stop you? I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really want to do, something you never said to someone, something… and you’re told no, even after you paid your dues?? Who’s got the right to tell you that, who?? Nobody! It’s your right to listen to your gut, it ain’t nobody’s right to say no after you earned the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do...

You know, the older I get the more things I gotta leave behind, that’s life. The only think I am asking you guys to leave on the table is what's right.

Another inspiring character in the Rocky film series is Mickey Goldmill, he motivates Rocky in his journey to success:

And nature is smarter than people think. Little by little, we lose our friends, we lose everything. We keep losing and losing till we say, you know, “What the hell am I livin’ around here for? I got no reason to go on.” But with you, kid, boy, I got a reason to go on. And I’m gonna stay alive, and I will watch you make good.

Rocky film's theme song by Bill Conti is inspiring too, more details here --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonna_Fly_Now

So, the next time you feel low, just watch the Rocky speech videos or listen to this theme song, which says,

Trying hard now
It's so hard now
Trying hard now

Getting strong now
Won't be long now
Getting strong now

Gonna fly now
Flying high now
Gonna fly, fly, fly

Keep working hard, take the pain, take life's punches and keep moving forward - someday you gonna achieve all your dreams, you'll look back then and smile and say to yourself - it was all worth!!

Good luck and best wishes!!! Cheers :)

Rocky Inspires you...

This post isn't about Sylvester Stallone, it isn't about the boxing saga of the Rocky film series. Its about the inspiring words which the character Rocky Balboa spoke!

The lines from Rocky's speech have always helped me on days when hope seemed to fade. When I first came to England, life was real tough, ups and downs, full of challenges. The below picture used to be the wallpaper on my laptop for a long time and every time I open it, I used to read these lines and they've always given me strength:

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

No matter how many times you read or listen to this speech, you'll still have a little bit of inspiration to pick every time!!

This speech is so true for everyone, many of us find excuses for not being able to achieve the level of success we dream to achieve, this speech shows that it is all about how hard you try, how much effort you put in, determination and the will to give up everything to get where you wanna get!!

The line, "Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!" implies that you need not be someone extraordinary or great to taste success - but you just have to be better than a coward, drive away that laziness or inertia that is holding you back and see how things start to change.

Have a wonderful day, Cheers!! :)

Poem: Sun in a Spoon :)

Poem: Sun in a Spoon :)

Sunlight filtered
Through the window

Slices of toast
A jar of marmalade

You asked me
Can you make it special?

That's when
I got you the sun in a spoon

Be a Winner in Life...Confidence...

Welcome to the Part 3 of the Be a Winner in Life series, a continuation of Part 2 and Part 1 :)

A living example to the word 'Confidence' is the legendary boxer 'Muhammed Ali'. He is an inspiration to not just the boxing world but for everybody who want to be the greatest!! Many of his quotes and speeches are very inspiring, he is a great example for how confidence can charge up a person with energy and enthusiasm.

Confidence should grow from within you. You can draw inspiration from different sources, get inspired and feel more confident in life. I used to gain motivation from achievements of sportsmen, military documentaries, etc. As a kid I used to watch lots of action films, documentaries on military missions, at school I believed that someday am gonna join the military, train with the guns and heavy combat tools, drive tankers and fight the enemy.

I remember a documentary aired on the tv during the summer holidays of 2001. The Commander says, "Do you have the guts to look straight into your enemy's eyes when they point a gun on your head? Without fear?". The troop shout aloud, "Yes Sir". "Have you got the spirit to fight and die for your country?". Again they say, "Yes Sir". Though I didn't get to join the military, such stuff made me more confident driving away fear of failure and fear of death.

Today's video is one of Muhammad Ali's speeches, you can see how confident he is, his words start to influence you, can motivate you. He is just another human like you and me, if you keep your spirit high, you can definitely be a winner too in your field!!

He says, "I've done something new for this fight. I 'wrestled' with an alligator. That’s right. I have 'wrestled' with an alligator. I’ve 'tussled' with a whale. I've 'handcuffed' lightning, 'thrown' thunder into a jail. That’s bad! Only last week I 'murdered' a rock, 'injured' a stone, 'hospitalised' a brick! I’m so mean I make medicines sick!". "I know you got him picked, but the man's in cover, I will show you how great I am". There are many more of his speeches, check them when you feel down, you'd be amazed at how someone could ever be this confident.

Quotes like, "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves", by William Shakespeare and "You are the Creator of your own destiny", by Swami Vivekananda - make us realise that what we do and what we achieve in life is entirely upto us, we hold our destiny in our hands and how confidently you step forward and win your goals and dreams decides how happy and content you will be in your future.

Confidence is believing in yourself, that you can definitely achieve it and you have it in you, so why wait? Just go for it, be a winner!!

Have a wonderful day, take care :)
