Honest Talk...Part 3

Continued from Honest Talk...Part 2

I know you want me to scream your name, but I want to whisper your name into the soft skin of your jawline, into the tender throb of your neck's pulse, into the nook where your neck meets your shoulder. I want you to remember the hiss of my breathe and the way my lips form your name until it caresses your very existence.

Little things you do for her makes a lot of difference. Like:
  • Actually listening to what she says.
  • Sharing everything with her without needing to keep any secrets cause you both accept each other the way you truly are.
  • Taking her for a date night where you make her feel like a princess and pay attention to only her.
  • Smile at her across a crowded room.
  • Opening doors for her.
  • Cooking together.
  • When she is washing the dishes, grab the kitchen towel and start drying the dishes and slowly hold her from behind and kiss her neck.
  • Watching her favourite program on TV together.

Doing all this is truly worth the effort cause she will appreciate everything.

It might sound easy to say but is it really hard to put into practice? Well, if you really love your girl, you will do anything to make her happy.

Ok, now you ask me what will I do for my girlfriend?

I will...
  • Buy her favourite flowers and will make a customized bouquet instead of a store-bought one.
  • Put socks and trainers on for her in the sports shop when she can't bend down to do it herself.
  • Give her a gentle massage when she is tired. Will turn our home to a mini spa by applying relaxing massage lotion to her hands and feet. Massaging her neck, back and legs without expecting anything in return.
  • Leave little sticky notes for her to find when she comes back home.

  • Take her out to romantic candle-lit dinners and walks along the beach in bright sunshine.
  • Show her that my love is true cause I'll always be there for her even after knowing her flaws and will be there for her during the not so great times. I will make her realize that no partnership is perfect but you get on with it and support each other and respect your differences, be intimate and learn to laugh together.
  • Watch the date night movies cuddled nice and comfy on the couch.
  • Cook her favourite dishes and on weekends, will serve breakfast in bed for us and will do lots of barbeques in the summer

And in future, when we decide to have our baby and when she's pregnant:

  • I will give her 100% comfort and nothing less. Will clean the house, will cook for the family, wash the dishes, dry the dishes, will do the laundry, will buy the required weekly groceries.
  • Will bring her books that she likes to read, DVDs of movies that she wants to watch and the food that she likes to eat.
  • Will sit next to her on the bed, holding her hand when she goes into labor and will do everything to make her feel safe and confident.
  • Once we have the baby, will wake up in the night to feed the baby, will wake up early in the morning to prepare food for both the mother and the baby for the day so I can go to work and will do the same after returning home from work. Will give them the same care until she completely heals and is back to normal.
  • And will hold my new born baby closest to my heart - that will be the biggest joy of my life.

What is unique characteristic every true lover should have?

Well, you should never fold under the pressure of  a committed relationship on the long run. You need to always have mutual trust, care, mutual respect and compromise only wherever necessary.

Never quit when it gets a little tough. That’s when you'll know you’ve found something special. Something real. Something worth keeping. Anybody can love anybody when things are good - the real test of character is when things are tough and you should still continue to love the same.

Let's talk more in Honest Talk...Part 4. See you later.

Have a great week ahead,

Cheers!! :)

Honest Talk...Part 2

Continued from Honest Talk...Part 1

I strongly believe that the key for a happy relationship is "communication".

Conversation is very important cause it develops the connection between the two. It gives a deeper comprehension of each other. So in case problems or misunderstandings arise, the honest communication helps you to discuss and explore solutions in an early stage.

Courtesy of all the Pictures in this post : Google Images

As weekdays are always busy, make sure to spend the weekends together - go for a lazy long walk, talk for hours, give time to think about each other, enjoy dinner together and continue to chat away. Or spend all of Friday evening and night reading a novel together in bed, watch a movie and talk to each other, share experiences of the week - be it happy or sad moments - it will all help to strengthen your bond.

Reading a novel out for her or may be just hold it close so both of you can together read silently

Sometimes it is hard to find time to communicate when there is so much going on in our daily lives, especially with work - but it is definitely worth taking the time out.

"Cause here we are again in the middle of the night dancing 'round the kitchen in the refrigerator light"

Always reach out and touch each other even during times when you both feel hopeless. Try making it a compulsory rule to hug each other after a disagreement or an argument. After every misunderstanding both feel bad but swallow your pride and give each other a close bear hug even if you just had an argument. The hug will make you both forgive each other quickly.

"You're a bit close," she whispered. "I know," he grinned. He was right in front of her. Barely a breaths width between them. But not touching. The sky began to mist down on them but neither moved. She was trapped. By some spell. Keeping her eyes and body locked into place. A slow smile appeared out of nowhere and creeped up her face, "You gonna do something, or just stand there?". She thought he'd move away. Break the spell. He didn't.

Make her laugh outdoors

Make her laugh indoors

Most importantly, make her laugh in bed...

Gotta go now, so let's continue our talk later, see you in Honest Talk...Part 3

Take care until then,

Have a nice week ahead,

Cheers!! :)

Honest Talk...Part 1

Welcome to the first part of a series of very honest talks wherein I talk about love, romance and relationships - will share most of my favourite quotes and random things which I've learned by observing the world around me, reading books and my attempt to understand this beautiful journey called life.

Pardon me for the errors in my writing. Those who've been reading this blog for a while are aware of the fact that my English isn't perfect but my aim is to express my thoughts, views, opinions and ideas in a simple, clear and easy to understand manner.

Courtesy of all pictures in this post : Google Images

Is there a secret or magic formula to have a relationship like how they show in films, TV or novels? Well, I mean the fairy tale kinda love where the knight in shining armour rescues damsel in distress, they fall in love and live happily ever after.

Have you ever thought such love is practically possible? I'd say why not. But I am afraid they don't happen using a magic wand but they are possible through mutual respect and hard work.

I remember reading about how to have a lasting high-quality relationship. The author gave a simple yet brilliant answer : "Think of what is best for the relationship first, the children second, your partner third, yourself fourth and the rest of the world absolutely last."

Never call each other a nasty name, never fight in public or in front of others, never cheat on the other, always be honest and open with each other - then sure there is a possibility to have a fantastic relationship.

Let me share a dialogue from the 2014 movie I Origins. Well, I didn't watch the movie, so not sure in which context these lines were said but the lines are romantic.

Ian: I do believe we've known each other since forever.

Sofi: Really?

Ian: Yes. You know how? When the Big Bang happened, all the atoms in the universe were all smashed together into one little dot that exploded outward, so my atoms and your atoms were certainly together then and... who knows, probably smashed together several times in the last 13.7 billion years, so my atoms have known your atoms and they've always known your atoms. My atoms have always loved your atoms.

In the world around me, I've noticed two types of relationships :

1st type: Man who puts in a minimal effort in the relationship and the woman serves as the pillar of their marriage, taking on most of the domestic, care-taking and child caring responsibilities.

2nd type: Man who invests all his time and efforts into true partnership with his woman. Shares all responsibilities equally - actively participates in domestic household chores, care-taking of the family and in raising the children. Appreciates his woman, gives her freedom, her space and treats her to surprise dinners.

I was born in a family where both my parents and grandparents belong to the 2nd type, so as a child I used to believe that type 2 is the norm in every household. But when I came across examples of type 1, I've realized the stress in those relationships.

Both the partners are on the journey, so they need to work together, help each other, mentor one and another, discover each other and in process turn into better people - that is the key for a blissful life :)

Well, I've gotta cook my dinner now, so let's continue this talk in Part 2.

Let me conclude this part by sharing the points I like from American author, Robin McKinley's, "8 Ways to Say I Love You".

Source and Text Content Owner:
thoughtcatalog.com

I like points 2, 3 and 4, cause they resonate with my kinda thought process.

2. Sigh it into her mouth, wedged in between teeth and tongues. Don’t even let your lips move when you say it, ever so lightly, into the air. Maybe it was just an exhalation of ecstasy.

3. Buy her flowers. Buy her chocolate. Buy her a teddy bear, because that’s what every romantic comedy has taught you. Take her out to a nice restaurant where neither of you feel comfortable and spend the whole night clearing your throat and tugging at your tie. Feel like your actions are more suited to a proposal than the simple confession of something you’ve always known.

4. Whisper it into her hair in the middle of the night, after you’ve counted the space between her breaths and are certain she’s asleep. Shut your eyes quickly when she shifts toward you in askance. Maybe you were just sleep whispering.

But, points 6 and 8 are funny:

6. Write her a letter in which the amount of circumnavigating and angst could rival Mr. Darcy’s. Debate where to leave it all day – on her pillow? In her coat pocket? Throw it away in frustration, conveniently leaving it face up in the trashcan, her name scrawled on the front in your sloppy handwriting. Let her wonder if you meant it.

8. Say it deliberately, your tongue a springboard for every syllable. Over coffee, brushing your teeth side-by-side, as you turn off the light to go to sleep – it doesn’t matter where. Do not adorn it with extra words like “I think” or “I might.” Do not sigh heavily as if admitting it were a burden instead of the most joyous thing you’ve ever done. Look her in the eyes and pray, heart thumping wildly, that she will turn to you and say, “I love you too.”

See you later in Honest Talk...Part 2. Until then, take care.

Have a nice week. :)

Cheers :)

Love her naked soul...

Are you ready to spend some time in a nice conversation? Well, let's talk about my favourite subject today :) Yes, you guessed it right, romance it is! :)

Picture Courtesy: Google Images ; Click any image to view the slideshow

This post is inspired by a poem which I wrote 2 years ago, "Poem: Heart to Heart!!" :) When I said, "Our souls naked, In complete honesty", I had a story to tell. These two lines might sound simple but they speak volumes.

In the past, we've had interesting insights into this subject through:

I will start the topic by sharing the powerful quote by writer Dominic Matthew Jackson,

"You think you’ve seen her naked because she took her clothes off? Tell me about her dreams. Tell me what breaks her heart. What is she passionate about, and what makes her cry? Tell me about her childhood. Better yet, tell me one story about her that you’re not in."

"You’ve seen her skin, and you’ve touched her body. But you still know as much about her as a book you once found, but never got around to opening."

Instead of writing all my thoughts in a long paragraph, I prefer to write them as points to make it easier to read.

1. When you fall in love with a girl, you obviously look into how beautiful her heart is but you need to also look into her soul - do you know why? Cause there you will find the true girl that lives within her.

2. You need to get a soul connection with her, an emotional connection and that happens only when you get a deeper sense of understanding of who she is.

3. Listen to all her childhood stories, learn about what hurts her, what makes me cry, her passions, her hobbies, her interests, her dislikes. So along with knowing every inch of her body, you need to also know every inch of her soul.

4. It is a lot of work, but building a relationship is like building a home - the stronger you lay the foundation, the stronger it grows.

5. Be open, be real and live in the truth of what and who she is and love all of it and don't be afraid to show intimacy.

6. You need to have a clear understanding of her - not just the persona she projects to the outside world but the real her, the inner being in her.

7. Observe on what lies beneath her smile, her tears, her laughter and her silence - you'll know her better the more you observe.

8. When you make her feel home, when she feels most comfortable and ease in your presence, then she's gonna open herself up like a book.

9. Your girl is not just a physical body, she is something more, she is a soul just like you. You will never really know her until you've seen her soul. So, dive into the joyous depths to meet the true her. The day you do that she will treat you right and she will hold on tight.

10. Take the time to reach that depth. Make love to her mind before you make love to her body.

11. Encourage her, let her turn passionate and she will also learn everything about you and you both will grow together.

12. The day she trusts that you love the real her, she will do anything for you. Most people think that just by living with a girl and having sex - they know the real her. But until you open the book of her soul and genuinely show interest in learning everything about her - you won't really know her.

13. Touch her soul first and when you eventually touch her body, she will feel even more glorious from within her inner self.

14. The true beauty of a woman lies deep beneath her skin, it's in the core of her soul. Beauty is only skin deep.

15. Travel the journey until you reach her mind and continue until you reach her naked soul, only then you will know the real her.

16. Every girl has the innate need to be heard, to be touched, to be understood, to be connected and to belong - with an ultimate goal to give and to receive love.

17. There is more to explore in a girl than just her body. So, touch her beyond her body.

18. Just because you love her, she won't be able to open up so easily. So, give her time, it is a journey and not a destination, so travel along with her and enjoy the journey.

19. Let her express her inner feelings one by one and you will get to understand her true self - the self which she talks to when she is on her own.

20. From the day you see her naked soul is the day your love will turn more meaningful.

My Favourite Songs... Part 2

These songs bring back so many memories of those days when I used to write down lyrics on a sheet of paper while repeatedly listening to a song on an audio cassette/radio, this was before the advent of the internet. If you are lucky, you get the lyrics booklet free with a cassette which makes easier to start singing but most of the times, I had to listen and write down the lyrics.

But the more the effort you put to learn a song, shows how much you enjoy it - cause you'd love to sing it just as much as you love to listen to it. While at primary school, I was shy to sing in public so most of my singing sessions used to be on the terrace alone - especially during the summer vacation - can't forget those evenings. I used to listen to some hit songs on the radio cause we used to have a limited set of cassettes at home.

During my early childhood, most of the songs I listened to were the golden classics from Hindi Cinema. As my Dad is a big fan of Mohd. Rafi saab, me and my sister grew up listening to all of Rafi's hit songs and not to forget Kishore da, Lataji, Mukesh, Manna Dey, etc. But once we reached our teenage, we always listened and loved the latest songs of our generation.

Song: Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin
Film: Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin
Singers: Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal
Lyrics: Sameer
Music:  Nadeem Shravan

Reason I love this song:
Yes, I admire both the lyrics and the music of this song. My favourite lines are, "Dil to yeh chaahe har pal tumhe hum, Bas yunhi dekha kare" - I think the best and the most beautiful thing in the world would be the one you love (the love must be true), so no matter how many hours you keep looking at them, you'd never get tired or bored. Cause there is something special in their eyes or face that will always excite your mind, so you continue to stare. "Marke bhi hum na tumse judaa ho, Aao kuch aisa kare" - is another admirable line. You love them so much that you wanna be with them for ever and ever - until eternity. Well written by Sameer.

Song: Do Dil Mil Rahe Hain
Film: Pardes
Singers: Kumar Sanu
Lyrics: Anand Bakshi
Music: Nadeem Shravan

Reason I love this song:
I love the guitar strumming in this song - the use of acoustic guitar enhances the song, makes it a very soothing song. Although I enjoy all the lines of this song, one line is very beautifully written, "Honthon Pe Hai Khaamoshi Magar, Baatein Kar Rahi Hain, Baatein Kar Rahi Hain Nazar Chupke Chupke" - very poetic way of saying how lovers understand each other even in silence - to say how the lips are silent but they are still communicating through their eyes quietly glancing at each other. The song has innocent feelings weaved together.

Have a nice rest of the week, not long before it's weekend :)  It's gonna be Bank Holiday weekend here in UK - making it a nice long break!!! :)

Take Care,

Cheers!! :)

My Favourite Songs...

Welcome to this new series of posts where I like to share my favourite songs and why I love them :) Songs listed in these posts will be randomly picked one at a time from the music playlist I regularly listen to, hence they won't be numbered and I love them all equally. Hope you'll enjoy listening to them and if any of them are your favourites, please do let me know in the comments column :)

I sang all of these favourite songs at some point or other - in my room when I was on my own or at a family party or at a get-together with friends, etc. I've sung some of them and recorded them as audio files and saved them on my portable hard disk. That shows how much these songs have touched my heart.

So, taking one song at a time, here we go:

Song: Tu Bin Bataye
Film: Rang De Basanti
Singers: Madhushree, Naresh Iyer
Lyrics: Prasoon Joshi

Reason I love this song:
The line, "tu bin bataye mujhe le chal kaheen, jahan tu muskuraye meri manzil wahin" is perfectly written. It stirs me every time I listen to it - there is something deeply engraved in those words that brings out the true meaning of "trust" in love.

She trusts him so much that she'd go along with him to anywhere without questioning, cause she knows he'd do only the right thing - something that makes her happy. And the line also signifies that she wants to spend time with just him and forget the rest of the world - cause he is her world. The next line is even more meaningful, "the place where you smile, that is my goal/destination" - very well written :)

The music of this song is soulful too!! :)

Have a nice week ahead,

Take care :)

How do you treat your Girl?

This post is a sequel to Poem: Do you know how to love your girl?

1) Respect her, value her, understand her

2) Say 'I love you' and mean it

3) Hold her hand when you are walking next to each other, watching movies, or just talking

4) Compliment her - you are only being honest on how beautiful she really is

5) Gently hug her from behind and patiently listen to all her stories

6) Don't force her to do anything - always give her the freedom to fly like a free bird in bright blue sky

7) Never hurt her, if you accidentally do, apologise first and then unhurt by making her laugh

8) While standing together, wrap your arm around her

9) Write cute little notes for her and leave them as a surprise for her to discover and smile at

10) Kiss her forehead and cuddle with her

11) Keep your word - if you say you gonna do it, then do it, don't ever disappoint her

12) When you hug her, hold her in your arms as long as possible, let her relax in your care

13) Carefully brush the hair out of her eyes

14) Comfort her when she cries, reassure her that everythings gonna be alright and be her pillar of strength.

If you can do the above 14 things for her, then you surely know how to treat your girl right!! She's a princess, never forget that!!

Happy Friday!!! :) Cheers!! :)

When I Kiss your Forehead...

I'll cup your face in my palms, look into your eyes and without saying a word, I kiss your forehead...a very honest, tender kiss...

What does it mean when I kiss your forehead?

It means that

1.) I respect you, care for you, treat you gentle, will keep you warm, safely protected in my strong arms as my love for you is real and beyond lust.

2.) I am completely honest, loyal, faithful and I feel light carrying no secrets in my mind, cause you'd already know them all.

3.) I understand every bit and piece of you, trust you, accept you for the real you, proud of what you are and that I believe together we'd make a perfect team.

4.) I'd always keep you happy, make you laugh, treat you right, give you freedom, space for your own hobbies and no matter what happens, I am gonna be there for you, to patiently listen to anything and everything you gotta say.

5.) The lines on your forehead are the road map to your soul and when my lips touch your forehead, they make my heart transparent and intimately connects you to my soul.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Cheers!!

Examples of True Love...

Just like to share two videos, one a touching story and another is a true romantic moment! :)

True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be and will not be.

A beautiful and inspiring example of true love:

A touching romantic moment from One Tree Hill TV Series:

Nathan: Stop it.
Haley: What?
Nathan: Whatever you’re worrying about. Just stop.
Haley: How do you know I’m worried? You didn’t even open your eyes.
Nathan: You think I need to see you with my eyes to know what’s going on with you. What’s on your mind?
Haley: I was just wondering if maybe I should go home.
Nathan: Why would you do that?
Haley: Because I don’t want to wake up and have you not be here again.

Nathan: I’ll be here. I’m not going anywhere. Come here...

He cuddles and kisses her - This romantic moment is a great example of how true and real love makes you feel, sense and understand your lover so closely - without actually looking at their face!

Have a nice evening!! Cheers!! :)

Poem: Heart to Heart!! :)

Friday is back!! :) Weekend is about to start - time to relax, eat plenty and play cricket!! :)

Romance is sweeter as it gets deeper, when you genuinely make an attempt to understand your lover, love starts to make sense :) Real love is the most beautiful thing in this world, the more you can enjoy the intensity of true emotions, the more you'll discover happiness in life!! :)

Sat down near the window and been watching the rain outside and wrote the below poem.

Poem: Heart to Heart!! :)

On a rainy day,
In a comfy bed,

Your heart,
Next to mine,

Your breathe,
Exhaled on my chest,

Our souls naked,
In complete honesty,

I'll cuddle you,
In my caring arms,

And as I trace my fingers,
Along every curve of your back,

We'll have heart to heart
Conversations late into the night...

Charan xx
