Poem: In your hug...

Poem: In your hug...

In your hug, birds from my sky
Fly to the nest of your heart

In the warmth of your embrace
I discover my sun, moon and stars

In the depths of your divine spirit
I find peace for my inner being

In your arms, I surrender
Cause your hug is my home...

Unconditional Love...Part 2

The purest form of love is unconditional love, born in every kind noble heart and churns out happiness :)

When you are ready to give and not expect anything in return, when you are ready to sacrifice anything that is you for the sake of others happiness and you really mean it from the bottom of your heart, such love fulfils life.

The word, "Unconditional" in the context of love is often used to convey God's love or our parents love or children's love or love from pets. But I believe that even a lover's love or a friend's love can be unconditional too. We all are capable of loving unconditionally in our day to day lives.

When we show care, concern, affection, warmth, love and show them genuinely from our heart and not just for the sake of it, such true feelings will flow through the receiver's heart, whoever may be at the receiving end and will touch their soul.

I remember words my Mom used to tell me and my sister when we were kids. She once said, "Spend more time with the people who have an innocent heart, cause their presence will not only make you forget your worries but their innocence makes you humble and purifies your heart". That is one reason why I love babies, toddlers and the very elderly people the most, cause they don't try to win over you with strength but will win you with their gentleness and innocence :)

But I did ask her, "What is purifying the heart mean?". I think she said, "Its that feeling of joy like you are a bird flying free in a wide open sky".

So, every time you love, just love unconditionally, it is hard not to expect the other person to love back, but as we learnt, all good things come for a price, so when you selflessly give out positive things to everyone around you, your heart gets lighter and enjoys happiness :)

Have a lovely Sunday, take care :)

Push Yourself...

I keep telling myself the same. Its been almost a year since I've been trying to find a job in the field of my study here in UK, sadly I am yet to taste success. As each day passes by, its getting harder and uncertain of what career step to take next. I am not sure how long will I stay in UK, if I can't find a job here, but I am not gonna give up, I will continue to push myself.

I've been improving my CV, registering with more job consultancies, I get calls from recruiting agencies, every application I make I ensure to put all my efforts to make it the best one possible. Next, they ask for visa status and proof of work permit in the UK, so I send them a scanned copy of my work visa and then the waiting starts - with a hope to get called for an interview. But since the last one year, there was always silence after the application phase and when I call them to enquire the status of my application, I hear that it was unsuccessful this time but they gonna keep my details and will consider my CV for similar roles in the future.

Every morning I wake up with a hope that I will get a positive response soon, I am gonna get a job here and my life will turn better. I watch motivational videos, I keep telling myself that no matter how difficult it gets, I am still gonna try. I'll keep applying, will keep improving my CV, will keep contacting people, will continue to take suggestions from friends and family and will not give up so easily.

Sometimes I feel lonely, wish I had a girlfriend, wish to be with my family. There are times when you take a pause from the busy routine of life and question yourself if the path you are taking now, will it make your dreams come true, will you reach your goals? But in spite of all that, the most important thing is to be positive in everything you do, just keep yourself focussed, keep pushing yourself and keep moving forward.

Having said that, here are couple of good motivational speeches. We can always pick strength, energy and get inspired from motivational content in books, audio files or videos.

Al Pacino's famous speech. I find this line very meaningful from this speech, "When you get old in life, things get taken from you. I mean, that's a part of life.  But, you only learn that when you start losing stuff." - And its true for every age - cause once you keep growing, with every year passing in your life, you lose the opportunities that you had the previous year. So, just don't let things go, capture them, capture the moment, be a winner.

Here is the speech delivered by Kurt Russell from the movie Miracle. These lines are inspiring, "One game. If we played them ten times, they might win nine, but not this game. Not tonight. Tonight, we skate. Tonight, we stay with them, and we shut them down, because we can! Tonight, WE are the greatest hockey team in the world."

Everyone of us have our own battle to fight, so we all need to push ourselves, to believe that we can achieve everything we wanna achieve, we have the guts to face any challenge that life throws at us and come out as a winner.

Wish you good luck, take care :)

Biting Baby Cheeks :)

I'd like to share with you a funny incident that happened many years ago!!

I love children a lot, be it babies or toddlers, I handle them carefully, I've got all the patience in the world while dealing with a sulking child. But I have this habit of giving gentle bites to babies cheeks, specially babies with chubby fat cheeks!! :)

Here is that incident which happened like 5 years ago.

We had visitors at home, there was this 10 month old baby boy who is my cousin's first child. I took him on my shoulders and sat on the couch, started to gently bite his chubby fat cheeks. As I ate his plump cheeks, they turned from rosy pink to red.

His mom got worried, "Charan, stop that biting, he might get into a crying mood". But as she spoke, I suddenly felt my t-shirt wet on my chest and then my shorts felt wet too - OMG!! I stood up to find that this kid passed urine on me. Everyone in the family laughed as I rushed with one side wet clothes to take a shower.

After I was back from the shower, my cousin asked me, "Would you like to bite his cheeks again? I think he loves it". I said, "May be he loves it but I don't wanna take another shower".

I was asked, "Charan, why are you always after babies cheeks?"

And my answer was, "Well, when I hold a baby who has fat plump cheeks, to me they'll look like tasty burgers and ripe sweet apples and the cheeks seem to invite and tempt me, "Please, have a bite!!" and most of the times after giving a bite, I get the smell/taste of 'Johnson & Johnson baby powder' on them".

One of my aunt was sarcastic enough, she said, "When you have kids, they'll have to wear “Cheek-Protective Masks” to safeguard themselves from their "Crazy Cheek Biting Dad".

I told her, "I've been biting babies cheeks since my childhood and never did any baby cry or complain, instead they've enjoyed it, babies find joy in gentle biting, cause it tickles them and churns the creamy milk of their cheeks, making them even softer".

Aunt said, "Hmm.., now I can understand why babies enjoy it, it helps them wet your clothes!".

Everyone laughed!!

So, the moral I've learnt from this experience was: Before taking a bite of a baby's cheeks, always check if the little one is wearing a diaper/nappy - if yes, then go ahead else, be prepared to take a shower!!

(Beware Babies! there are cheek biters around, save the tenderness of your cheeks)

I don't mind taking multiple showers, cause taking a gentle bite of juicy baby cheeks is really worth it!! :)

Hope this message gave you a basket full of smiles :)

Have a great day, take care :)
