Calm and Peaceful Morning…

Colourful dreams spring up in my heart this morning which is calm and peaceful…

The mountains are silently speaking to the trees; trees are speaking to leaves; leaves to flowers and flowers to butterflies. The butterflies now come near me and speak of silence, calmness and peace…

One butterfly looks into my eyes and listens :

My lips remained still as I spoke with my eyes, "At one corner of the street, a mother, who got up early this morning, kisses the sleeping child. And at an other corner, the Worldly people ask - How can tiny drops dare hope to declare any relationship with the ocean? "

The ocean is nothing but a collection of drops, but if every drop detaches itself and stays separate, will there be any ocean?

Now, should the ocean be called as a huge collection of drops or should a drop be called as a part of the ocean?

Without the drops, will the ocean have any identity? Without the ocean, will the drops have sufficient identity?

Hearing the questions, the butterfly laughs :

"Your life is a journey, you are just a traveler; you are moving from soul to soul, drifting from dream to dream and God, who is watching you from above, enjoys your tour."

God as a poet writes the poem of your life…

“What am I dear butterfly? What is my true identity? ", I question with my eyes again.

“You are a Nursling of Mother Nature”

"My gratitude dear butterfly, where have you come from, now where do you go? "

"I was born in the beautiful gardens of your soul, I live drinking the sea of nectar from the flowers bloomed in your heart and now I fly back into the garden of your soul again, to live there forever."

Saying so, the butterfly flew, it flew into the magnanimity of my mind; it flew into the generosity of my spirit and it flew into the nobility of my soul…

My Lonely Life…

Here is my poem on loneliness - it’s a collection of my thoughts on lonely life…

My Lonely Life...

Early in my childhood
A thorn pierced my heart
As I grew, it tore deeper
With age, I realized it was

The thorn of loneliness…

In joy I laugh, in pain I cry
Among crowd and at party
I walk, I talk, I sit and I move
With my family, with friends

But always feel I’m alone…

Tears, wrung from my heart
Soak through my soul which
Got devoured by loneliness
The day I die, will I have to

Carry my own corpse, alone?

The Unchained Dog…

I simply ignored the board “Beware of Dog” hung outside as I swiftly opened the gate and stepped in. When I turned back to close the gate, there was a bark, a fierce bark, loud enough to bring a chill down my spine and frightening enough to triple my heart beat.

His eyes resembled those of an angry wolf, his teeth were sharp, eager to dig into my flesh and his huge tongue was as red as a tiger’s tongue with taste buds waiting to taste my blood.

For a second, I stood like a newly carved out statue as he stared at me like an enraged lion which is ready to pounce on its prey. Droplets of his saliva leaked from his mouth as he felt me like a big bundle of flesh and bones covered with some pieces of cloth.

The barking sound became even louder but I resembled a rock, stayed calm and composed. Here I compliment myself for not raising a panic as I was aware that animals, especially dogs go crazy if they spot nervousness in a stranger.

It was a German shepherd (also called as Alsatian), a member of the breed which has great reputation for aggression. This breed of highly active dogs is responsible for more random bites than any other breed.

So, what was the end result for all the pains I took to stand still; within a few seconds he stopped barking, licked both my feet and just stepped aside giving me way to go inside the house.

Well buddy, when was the last time you met an unchained dog and how did you manage to win the situation?

The Funny Question…

Right after I graduated a few years ago, I had been to Bangalore city to attend a couple of interviews. And in one of the interviews, during the personal round, I was asked a funny question.

As I stepped into the room, the young HR manager welcomed with a big smile on his face. After a few questions on my bio data, then came the big question, “Tell me one simple and easy way to kill time?”. The question left me surprised. He continued, “I give you exactly one minute to think and don’t give regular answers, I expect an ‘out of the box’ kind of answer from you”.

In that one minute, I thought about a hundred ways and finally spoke out, “Sitting silently near a milestone on a highway, go on eating peanuts and counting the cars and buses which pass by”. He laughed as he heard me give that answer, “Great idea, so what do you do when there is no traffic on the highway?”

I spontaneously sprang with an answer, “Look at the clouds in the sky and forget time”. He laughed again, “Gentleman, your answer impressed me; you can look at the results after two days, good luck”. I left the room after shaking hands with him.

But after two days, my name was missing in the final selection list and I knew the reason - my answers were not up to the mark during the technical round as it was the toughest one I ever faced. But the interview gave me a funny moment to cherish for long…

Dear reader, what would be your answer to the funny question, if you were in my shoes?
